HQ: Minneapolis, MNNOW PLAYING: Her Escape Demo (fourletterlie.com) THE STORY SO FAR: From Taste Of Chaos to Warped Tour to their recent national trek, Four Letter Lie have been gigging in high gear since the start of 2005, and their yowling, crunching post-hardcore is getting all the tighter for it. Last month, the quintet checked into Atlanta's Glow In The Dark Studios with producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Cartel, the Chariot) to record a new set of demos, some of which are currently dangling online for any record label smart enough to bite. WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: "Well, we're no Every Time I Die-yet!" guitarist Karl Kittelson says, laughing, "but I think our relentless work ethic and passion for what we're doing speak volumes in themselves. That has to count for something, right?" Not only that, but the band's live show-all flying guitar necks, scream-along choruses and monster breakdowns-proves their affable, soft-spoken veneer quickly melts away once they get in front of a crowd.
