The International Drive

HQ: Raleigh, NC and Pittsburgh, PA
NOW PLAYING: Finish What You Started EP (myspace.com/theinternationaldrive)
THE STORY SO FAR: When Pittsburgh resident Seth Milberger (vocals, guitar) traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina, to jam with Colin Riley (bass) and Chris Dillow (drums), the bros instantly jelled-and wasted no time forming the International Drive. "We connected musically very well," says Riley. "We wrote a bunch of songs and demoed them out and went on a tour we booked ourselves with Boys Like Girls, Valencia and New Atlantic."
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: Aside from some tight pop chops (their track "So Call It Off" is über-catchy) and the addition of Bryon Broadus (guitar), the band sport decent integrity, too. After releasing Finish What You Started on Disco Technology, the band signed an artist release for what they cite as "major issues with the professionalism of the label." If that's not enough reason to check out ID, Riley puts it simply: "We're really laid back, down to earth guys who love each other and love writing music together." --Rachel Lux
