HQ: Northern Virginia NOW PLAYING: To Keep Us Moving EP (myspace.com/paradetheday) THE STORY SO FAR: It's a familiar story: Friends Matt Wolk (vocals) and Blair Simpson (guitar, piano) get together in 2006, go through myriad band members, then finally solidify a lineup in early 2007, who proceed to the studio ASAP. What isn't as familiar in today's scene is these pop-rockers' addition of piano. Plus, they enlisted producer Rob Freeman (Hidden In Plain View, Cobra Starship) to man the boards for their debut EP. Not too shabby. WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: The five-piece have proved adept at combining soaring vocals over memorable riffs and piano interludes. After a month-long stint on last summer's Warped Tour, PTD plan to write new material and tour though the winter. "We understand the value of hard work," says Wolk. "After driving across the country in a van and building a stage every day on Warped Tour, we realize that you need to work hard if you want to get anywhere in the music industry." [RL] YOU LIKE?
