HQ: Phoenix, AZ NOW PLAYING: The Devil On Your Shoulder (myspace.com/rainingandok) THE STORY SO FAR: Frontman Trevor Tillery needed a little coaxing before helming Raining & OK, the band he formed with buds from his hometown of Phoenix. "When I left my previous band and started writing songs of my own, I had never sang openly before then," admits Tillery. "I was always a closet singer, but I felt a calling to sing the songs I had been writing." WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: Celebrating their one-year anniversary next month, you'd never know R&OK boast a novice singer, as Tillery's wide vocal range propels the band's brand of piano-infused ballad-rock. The quiet strength permeating the band's debut full-length also appears in their live shows (the band have previously shared the stage with As Tall As Lions and Dear And The Headlights).
