HQ: Tallahassee, FL
NOW PLAYING: Assorted demos
THE STORY SO FAR: When Go Radio singer/guitarist Jason Lancaster left Mayday Parade last April, he wasn't sure he'd continue with music. Luckily for fans of Go Radio's brand of pop-punk, he didn't stay away long. "[When I] came back from the Plain White T's tour with Mayday Parade, I was really burnt out on music in general. I was really over the whole songwriting thing," admits Lancaster. "[But I] was surrounded by friends and awesome people, so it was easy to fall [back] into music without hesitation."
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: Lancaster blends his distinctive vocals with Go Radio's grasp of catchy hooks and willingness to experiment. Having played shows with Anberlin and the Bravery, GR are ready to conquer more ground. "In Tallahassee, we have a lot of the pop crowd," explains Lancaster, "but we strive to reach other crowds, whether it be the college indie kids, the hardcore kids, or any other genre." [Rachel Lux]
