NOW PLAYING: The Test (myspace.com/blameshift) THE STORY SO FAR: Call it fate. Call it coincidence. But if singer/guitarist Tim Barbour and drummer James Miller hadn't moved across the street from vocalist Jenny Mann more than three years ago, Blameshift wouldn't exist. "My neighbor told them that I was a singer," says Mann. "A couple months later, we were Blameshift." After several tours-including three dates on last summer's Warped Tour-the band spent four weeks at a farm in upstate New York recording The Test with Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed And Cambria). WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: The band are in the midst of a self-booked three-month tour, bringing their brand of dueling-vox rock across the U.S. in their self-customized van. "We attribute much of what we have accomplished to hard work and our love for what we do," says Mann. "We eat, sleep and breathe this band. We are constantly doing something to get our music out to people. And we really appreciate everything that comes to us because we work hard for it. Rachel Lux YOU LIKE?
