HQ: Auckland, New ZealandNOW PLAYING: The Conquest (myspace.com/allleftoutnz) THE STORY SO FAR: Formed in New Zealand in 2000, All Left Out have had more than five years (plus two full-lengths and countless tours) to hone their Green-Day-goes-Down-Under sound. After self-funding and releasing their 2005 disc Never Say Never, the pop-punk quartet toured around the globe, including extensive treks across the U.S. In the fall of 2006, the band returned home to write and record their latest, The Conquest, which features the incredibly catchy track, "The Lights." WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: "[Our] music combines vocals delivered with a prominent New Zealand accent, a fresh spin on the rock/orchestral hybrid and a new approach to programmatic storytelling," says vocalist/guitarist Ken Pratten. Lots of fans seem to agree, as All Left Out-Pratten, guitarist Dave Murray, bassist Hinona Hay and drummer Nathan Speeden-have sold 30,000 records and counting, not to mention holding steady placement on band-making outings like Warped Tour.
