THE STORY SO FAR: During the middle of 2008, Australian post-hardcore unit the Dream The Chase decided they had two options. "It was time to get serious or go our separate ways," says drummer Daniel Puusaari. "We all had a few other projects happening, but we decided to book studio time and see where this band could take us." This past September, the five-piece released the slick and searing Found Again EP and have since toured their country twice.
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW 'EM: If you're mourning the loss of Scary Kids Scaring Kids, you might wanna start looking for help Down Under. The Dream The Chase meld soaring melodies and ferocious screams with the best of them, and even pop-punk fans would agree. "Our music seems to be really accessible to heaps of kids," says guitarist/vocalist Brent Emslie. "We've had so many people say, 'That kind of music isn't really my thing, but I love your CD.'"
