The Academy Is... Announces Almost Here Anniversary Show

Chicago pop-punkers and recent AP tour alumni The Academy Is... have announced a special 5th year anniversary concert of their debut album "Almost Here." The show will take place February 6th at Chicago's famous Metro and opening the show will be Sing It Loud.

Tickets go onsale this Saturday with a special pre-sale for the band's fanclub this Thursday, December 17th.

I know this is really splitting hairs here, but can we please not call The Academy Is... pop-punkers. Yes, I agree that "Almost Here" was pretty pop-punk. But "Santi" had that dirty rock and roll blues feel to it and "Fast Times at Barrington High" was like pure pop heaven.
