THE HUMAN ABSTRACT POST ANOTHER NEW SONG

Midheaven is due out August 19 on Hopeless, following up 2006's Nocturne.

VISION OF DISORDER AND MIND OVER MATTER TO PLAY REUNION SHOW

A pair of cult favorite Long Island hardcore acts, Vision Of Disorder and Mind Over Matter, will be playing a reunion show together next month. The show is set to take place August 16 at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY.

Vision Of Disorder were a long-running hardcore/metalcore act who released four full-lengths and a number of singles, demos and EPs on labels such as Roadrunner, TVT, Revelation and Go Kart.

Mind Over Matter were a mid-`90s progressive hardcore act who released two full-lengths: 1994's Security and 1995's Automanipulation. The former contained "Mind Set Overhaul," the opening lyrics of which were directly cribbed by Glassjaw for the conclusion to their song "Must Have Run All Day," which appeared on 2002's Worship And Tribute.

FAT WRECK POSTS NEW REAL MCKENZIES SONG

Canadian Celtic punks the Real McKenzies have a new MP3 up courtesy of their label, Fat Wreck Chords. You can check out "The Lads Who Fought & Won" here.

The track will appear on their forthcoming album, Off The Leash, due August 5 and following up 2005's 10,000 Shots.

STATEMENT ISSUED ON BEHALF OF TRAVIS MCCOY

Gym Class Heroes' manager, Bob McLynn, has issued the following statement regarding last night's incident at the St.Louis stop of the Vans Warped Tour:

"Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation. When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out.

This whole incident is unfortunate. Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It's amazing that in 2008 there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things.

Travis is deeply upset that this happened, and has expressed his apologies to the band's fans that were at the show, Kevin Lyman, and the Vans Warped Tour. GCH is putting this behind them and looks forward to seeing everyone on the rest of the tour."

BAD RELIGION POSTS SONG FROM 'NEW MAPS OF HELL' DELUXE

Bad Religion has posted an acoustic version of "Sorrow," which appears on the forthcoming deluxe edition of 2007's New Maps Of Hell. You can check it out on their MySpace page.

New Maps Of Hell [Deluxe] is due out July 8 via Epitaph.
