Men, Women & Children losing half its members; two form Cubic Zirconia

Alternative Press - Brian Shultz on 11/21/08 @ 1:33 AM - altpress.com

Guitarist Todd Weinstock, keyboardist Nick Conceller and drummer David "Skully" Sullivan-Kaplan will all soon leave Men, Women & Children. They'll play one last show with this lineup, on December 29th at the Blender Theatre at Gramercy in New York City.

During the band's off-time, Weinstock and Conceller worked on new music together, and as explained in a MySpace blog posting, "things kept going well slowly, and before we knew it, we accidentally had a new project on our hands."

That new project is Cubic Zirconia, and their MySpace page can be found here. The band will be fronted by soul/R&B singer/songwriter Tiombe Lockhart.

Skully is currently in London, but Weinstock and Conceller promise "he is looking forward to a few collaborations in the coming months, and you'll probably find him back in America sooner than you think."

Men, Women & Children's remaining members include vocalist TJ Penzone, bassist Rick Penzone and guitarist Christopher Wrigley.
