Dr. Manhattan part ways with drummer

Tim Karan on 4/30/09 @ 8:44 PM

Dr. Manhattan drummer, Nick Vombrack, calls it quits after four years with the band. His last show is May 17th at The Roller Rink in their home state of Illinois.

Vomabrack said, "There is no bad blood between me and the Dr. Manhattan boys. There's no tension. This is all a positive thing. This is a decision that I made on the welfare of my own self and for the band as well. I didn't want anything I wanted to do with my life hold the band back from touring and working as hard as they could because that's what this band does. Its a non-stop machine of touring, touring, touring... I decided to stop off of it and the guys are very supportive."

Check out the video below for scenarios for his departure and the full farewell message.

Dr. Manhattan's Jam Dreams will be out this summer on Vagrant.
