Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster have revealed that they will be on this winter's Rockstar Taste Of Chaos International Tour. Maylene join headliners Killswitch Engage and In Flames along with Every Time I Die on the European tour that kicks off in Glasgow on Nov. 27.

Minus The Bear plan fall tour, 7-inch; new album in 2010

Seattle-based prog-monsters Minus The Bear have completed work on their new album, which they've been working on since April. "This album has more scope than the past records," says guitarist Dave Knudson, "some songs are more poppy and immediate while others expand on the complexities we're known for."

The currently untitled album is due in early 2010 on a currently unknown label, but to tide fans over, the band will release a new 7-inch on Oct. 27 featuring album track "Into The Mirror" and B-side "Broken China." For those without turntables (shame on you), the single will also be made available digitally.

The quintet will also head out on a headlining trek this fall to road-test some new material. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, September 12; dates below:

Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden and Nicole Richie welcomed a son into the world early on September 9. Sparrow James Midnight Madden weighs 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and has a one-and-a-half-year-old sister, Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden. Our congratulations to the happy family!

Apple unveils new iPods, iTunes LP and more

At their "It's Only Rock N' Roll" press conference today, Apple revealed several new iPod models, an update to iTunes and a new feature called iTunes LP. Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the news at the conference in San Francisco.

The latest update to iTunes--iTunes 9--is reported to have a sleek new look, an updated Genius feature, the ability to manage iPhone apps and the addition of more than 30,000 ringtones which will be available to customers for $1.29 each.

Apple also showed off the new iTunes LP, an effort to bring the feel of owning physical vinyl albums to iTunes. iTunes LP albums will have much of what goes into actual albums--full artwork, liner notes, lyrics and artist photos--while adding new aspects like videos.

Apple also introduced a sleek new 160 GB iPod Classic which will retail for $249, new iPod Touch models including 8 GB for $199, 32 GB for $299 and 64 GB for $399. The iPod Shufflewill see a new model with new colors and iPod Nanos--8 GB for $149 and 16 GB for $179-- will boast video cameras and FM radio access.

VersaEmerge, Therefore I Am to play Next Warped Nashville

Warped Tour will debut a stage at this year's Next Big Nashville Music Festival and Conference on Oct. 10 in Tennessee. The Next Warped Nashville stage will feature Therefore I Am, VersaEmerge, Conditions and others. The fourth annual Next Big Nashville will take place Oct. 7 through 10 at various Nashville venues. Warped head honcho Kevin Lyman had this to say:

"We've enjoyed holding similar showcases at SXSW and Canadian Music Week, and when given this opportunity, we were more than excited to be a part of it. Some of the bands playing the showcase, like Versa Emerge and Therefore I Am, have toured with Warped and we know will make for a great show."

Muse have posted their upcoming full-length, The Resistance, online for streaming. It's the band's first album since 2006's Black Holes And Revelations. The Resistance will be released September 14, but members of the Muse website can hear the album right here.
