Norma Jean to headline Explosions 2009 Tour

Norma Jean have been tabbed as headliners of the Explosions 2009 Tour, which runs from late November through the end of the year. Norma Jean handpicked the other bands on the bill including Horse The Band, the Chariot and Arsonists Get All The Girls. In select cities, Norma Jean will be playing their album Bless The Martyr And Kiss The Child in its entirety.

Max Bemis and Sherri DuPree form new band

Newlyweds Max Bemis of Say Anything and Sherri DuPree of Eisley have officially started a band together called Perma. Since Say Anything and Eisley are touring together this fall, the pair will be selling tour-exclusive singles from the new project, each with signed, one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn cover art from the Bemises.

Max Bemis has been updating on Twitter:

"What was once just an art project between me and sherri being sold on this tour has turned into something way cooler: we're going to sell the very first single from our new band Perma. You'll be able to get the first two Perma demos on a signed cd with a one of a kind drawing as the album art for each one. Yup, each artwork will be one of a kind and hand drawn by sherri and i."

3OH!3 plan online press conference

3OH!3 are holding a live online press conference on Saturday, Sept. 12 in preparation for the VMAs the day after. The band are looking for votes in the "Best New Artist" category in which they're up against Lady Gaga, Asher Roth, Drake and Kid Cudi. Starting at 3 p.m. EST, fans will be able to ask Sean and Nat questions through Twitter and Facebook.

Death Cab For Cutie have unveiled a portion of their song on the upcoming soundtrack to the Twilight sequel, New Moon. Listen to the snippet of "Meet Me On The Equinox" here. The entire song premieres on MTV.com this Sunday during the VMAs.

The New Moon soundtrack is available for pre-order here. Fans who pre-order will receive a download of the Death Cab song on Sunday.
