Pennywise tab Ignite frontman to fill-in as vocalist

Alternative Press - Tim Karan on 9/2/09 @ 3:46 PM - altpress.com

Punk mainstays Pennywise--who recently lost their longtime vocalist Jim Lindberg--have announced who will sing for them during their set at this fall's Smokeout Festival on Oct. 24. Zoli Teglas, frontman for O.C. hardcore unit Ignite will play the show while the band continue their search for a new singer. The Smokeout Festival will mark the first Pennywise show since Lindberg left the band.

Guitarist Fletcher Dragge made this comment:

"As everybody knows, Jim has left the band and we're looking for a new singer. For the time being our friend Zoli has agreed to fill in for Jim for a couple shows to avoid having to cancel them while we look for a permanent replacement."

Teglas had this to say:

"I'm stoked to be singing these upcoming shows with Pennywise. I'm a huge fan of the band and am super grateful to share the stage with my long time friends Fletcher, Byron, and Randy."
