The Killers have "no plans" to take hiatus

Although there have been reports circulating online that the Killers are going on hiatus following their current tour and guitarist Dave Keuning was quoted as saying the band would take a break after their Feb. 21 show in Melbourne, Australia, again it would seem that the interpretation of "break" is subjective.

A new statement--released to announce that the band have canceled several dates due to an illness of a family member of one of the Killers--clears up any confusion about the band's future. It says, "The Killers would also like to take this opportunity to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus."

Pete Wentz plans fashion event

Fall Out Boy bassist (or is he?) Pete Wentz has announced an event surrounding his clothing line Clandestine Industries to take place next week in New York City. Wentz tweeted, "This isnt gonna be a show. expect some drinks and some loud music. and maybe a familiar model or two."

Scheduled performers include Chiddy Bang, Bad Rabbits, DJ Skeet Skeet and artist Tristan Eaton.

The event begins at 7 p.m. on Feb. 16. Guests must be 21 or older and RSVP at clandestine@thinkpublicrelations.com.

Right Away, Great Captain! reveal next album title

Manchester Orchestra frontman Andy Hull has revealed the title of the upcoming third album from his side-project, Right Away, Great Captain! Hull tweeted that the final installment of the trilogy will be called The Big Bad Devil And The Great Good God. The first two chapters included 2007's The Bitter End and 2008's The Eventually Home.

Remix Weezer's "Love Is The Answer" and win a songwriting session with Rivers Cuomo

Weezer have launched a contest allowing fans the ability to remix their song, "Love Is The Answer," from the band's latest full-length, Raditude. The individual instrumental and vocal tracks are separated here, and a public vote will determine the top 10 entrants--each of whom will be featured on Weezer's homepage and MySpace page and receive a signed copy of Raditude. The grand prize winner will be given the opportunity to participate in a one-on-one collaboration to create a new song with frontman Rivers Cuomo.
