A metal mixture cleverly calculated to offend
Zimmers Hole - When You Were Shouting At The Devil... We Were In League With SatanPosted by Laila Hanson on 05-Jun-08 @ 11:49 AM
[4/5]Give the men of Zimmers Hole mega-points for being honest about what they want in a relationship. On the deliciously molten shredder "Anonymous Esophagus," nuts-in-a-vice howler Chris "the Heathen" Valagao makes things crystal clear with, "Now hush, no time to talk/Just get down there and suck on my cock." The PC police won't be impressed, but fuck 'em--as everyone from the Meatmen to Eminem learned long ago, some people can't take a joke. What makes Zimmers Hole--a long-running, tongue-in-cheek side project featuring members of Strapping Young Lad--so funny is that they know full well they're being offensive. Mixed into the album's car-bomb roar of thrash, death, grind and hair metal are such pronouncements as "Glam rock can suck my cock" (the title track). Consider it fair warning that When You Were Shouting will make you wonder what you ever saw in those poofs in the Darkness. (CENTURY MEDIA) Mike Usinger Official Website: http://www.centurymedia.com
