Refusing to learn from others’ mistakes
Fear Nuttin Band - YardcorePosted by Laila Hanson on 07-Jul-08 @ 02:53 PM
[2/5]How many times are we gonna have to hear Rasta chants over crunching guitar riffs? Bad Brains pulled it off, but they were the goddamn Bad Brains; there will never be another band as great as they were. Hell, they're not even living up to their legacy anymore. Haven't the subsequent failures of 24-7 Spyz and two bands featuring vocalist Benji Webb (Dub War and Skindred) provided a negative example to others? Guess not, because here we go again. Fear Nuttin Band make nĂ¼-metal with dancehall overtones, that's momentarily amusing, but ultimately unrewarding as that sounds. Even more astonishing, this is their second album, following 2003's From Outta Nowhere. That implies one of two things: Blind optimism on Bodog Music's part, or the need for a tax write-off. One thing's for sure--your ears don't deserve this. (BODOG) Phil Freeman Official Website: http://www.music.bodoglife.net
