STARS: Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, Lynn Collins, Michael Shannon WHAT'S WHAT? Brain-eating insects feast on the inhabitants of a motel room in small-town Oklahoma. SO WHAT? Ordinarily, a premise like this would be straight-to-Japanese-laserdisc material. In the hands of director William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection) it just might be kinda awesome. -J.
