Based on the Marvel comic of the same name, Ghost Rider recounts the legend of Johnny Blaze (Cage), the Evel Knievel-style stunt rider who sells his soul to the devil to save his girl (Mendes) and kick ass on bad guys-especially the presumably nefarious Blackheart (Bentley). SO WHAT? With flaming skulls, fiery motorcycles and a symbolic changing of the biker-film guard courtesy of Peter Fonda (as Mephisto, the devil figure who sends Blaze on his eternal chopper ride), Ghost Rider was supposed to be the summer blockbuster of 2006.
