London supercop Nicholas Angel (Pegg) gets transferred to the quiet village of Sanford for making the rest of the metropolitan force look like slackers. When he suspects that a series of bizarre accidents might be the murderous handiwork of the local supermarket proprietor (Dalton), things in Sanford start to get weird. Hilarity ensues. SO WHAT? Pegg and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright-the English writing team behind the zombie spoof Shaun Of The Dead-kick the action-cop genre in the balls with a (pre-Spider Man) Sam Raimi camera-style and sharpish humor.
