BEAU GARRETT's no stranger to the screen-having appeared in HBO's Entourage, the tropical thriller Touristas, and as the new face of Revlon-but the California-bred beauty takes her career up a notch by co-starring in the much-anticipated Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer.

You're a California girl. Are there any similarities to you and the neo-hippie girl you played on Entourage?

I think I portrayed a bit more of my older sister in the role I had on Entourage. Fiona was a very free spirit and was willing to go to India for six months to learn about Buddhism, and that seems like something my sister would totally do. I have a bit of that independence and spirit, but [I] am a bit of a homebody.

From being in a behind-the-scenes docudrama (Backstage: Hollywood Fashion) to being in a Hollywood blockbuster, what was the coolest thing about Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer?
I had never been on a big set before, so that was a big deal to me. I mean, to be picked up, flown first-class, taken to a gorgeous hotel and then getting to work with a great cast for four-and-a-half months in a city I had never been to was incredible.

What's your character, Frankie Raye, like?
Frankie Raye eventually becomes Nova. Though it doesn't happen in this film, she eventually becomes Johnny Storm's love interest.

Would you ever like to get in full makeup and play a superhero?
My god. That would be amazing! I'm hoping they make a third movie and I can turn into Nova and do just that.

That's a far cry from your role in Turistas.
Turistas was my first film, and it was a really crazy experience. I had prosthetics on during the torture scenes I had to shoot. I also had to wear a body cast. At one point, I had to lie in a hospital bed for 12 straight hours while they cut into me. I had to eat and go to the bathroom and drink as I lay in the hospital bed. I just couldn't move because of the prosthetics. It was really intense and I thought it came out very realistic.

What do you listen to when you are not being chopped to bits or saving the world?
I'm really addicted to KCRW in the morning because I like the show Morning Becomes Eclectic. Every morning I listen to Nic Harcourt. He seems so cool, I'd love to meet him. I don't listen to one artist. I used to do that. [Now] I like to go online and find new artists. -Sal Tuzzeo, Jr.
